What TV mounting costs
TV mounting is priced by the visit with the mount either supplied by you or added at cost. The nearest finished jobs on our list are two wall anchoring repairs, a shower rod re anchored with metal anchors in Annapolis for $100 and a bathroom sink re anchored in DC for $287 with a recaulk and a toilet seat. A TV on wood studs with cables on the surface is a job of that size.

What moves the price
- Wood studs are the base job. Brick, plaster and metal studs take special anchors and more time.
- Cables hidden in the wall add a wall plate above and below and a fish through the cavity, which is longer on an insulated exterior wall.
- A new receptacle behind the TV brings the electrician and is its own line.
- A TV over 65 inches or a full motion arm needs two people on the lift, which we plan for when you send the size.

Cost questions
- Can you hide the power cord in the wall?
- Not the cord itself. Running a power cord inside a wall is against code. The options are a new receptacle behind the TV, which the electrician installs, or a listed in wall power kit that plugs in below.
- Can you mount a TV on a brick fireplace?
- Yes, with masonry anchors into the brick, not the mortar. We check the heat at TV height with the fireplace running before we recommend it.
- Do I need to supply the mount?
- Either way. If you have one, send a photo of the box. If not, we bring a mount rated for the TV size and add it at cost on the estimate.
How the work itself goes is on the tv mounting page.
